The Sappers Suspension Bridge crosses the Conwy River near the Old St. Michaels Church. It was constructed in 1930. Old Church Rd, Betws-y-Coed
The wooden bridge was installed over the River Conwy originally in 1917 by “Sappers” or royal combat engineers. This was to provide access for the army base.
