Description
Moel Famau is a mountain and country park between Mold and Ruthin in North Wales. An area of outstanding natural beauty the peak at 554m offers fantastic views. Sitting proudly on the very top of Moel Famau are the impressive remains of The Jubilee Tower.
Built in 1810 to commemorate the golden jubilee of George III, it was to be an Egyptian styled obelisk, built in three stages. The tower was destroyed in 1862 by a strong storm.
